Dr. Stuckey was raised on a cattle and horse ranch, with one brother and two sisters, near Monahans, TX. He attended Texas A&M, where he graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry.  He spent one year in the meat packing industry and two years traveling as a veterinary drug sales representative for the veterinary division of Eli Lilly and Company.

In 1966, he and his young family returned to College Station so that he cound attend Veterinary School.  After graduation in 1970, he practiced for two years in McGregror, TX and then moved to Lampasas to open his own practice.  This practice was sold in 1976 and he returned to Monahans to help with the family ranching operation and build another practice.  While practicing in Monahans, he and a group of veterinarians from nearby Odessa and Midland joined together to start and Emergency Only veterinary practice to serve the people and pets of these West Texas cities.  Dr. Stuckey was President and CEO of this co-operative practice until leaving West Texas in 1986 to move to San Antonio.

He helped found Perrin 410 Animal Hospital in 1986 at the same location as it is today.  He has strived to keep the practice progressive and innovative with 2 major expansions and a total renovation, just completed in February of 2011.  His passion to serve the people and pets of the San Antonio area with the "Best Care Anywhere" has been the driving force in building and maintaining Perrin 410 Animal Hospital, by equipping it with the most advanced diagostic and treatment aids available.

Dr. Stuckey's four children and their families reside in the Central Texas Area and are very active in their local communities.  Besides operating the veterinary practice, he also has cattle, horses and goats on a small ranching operation in Kingsbury, TX.
